BD Vacutainer® SST™ II Advance 8.5 ml
The BD Vacutainer® SST™ II Advance 8.5 ml serum tubes with inert separating gel and silica particles as coagulation activator are used for reliable serum analysis of e.g. potassium, phosphorus and LDH. After a short centrifugation period, the gel forms a diffusion barrier between the serum and the blood clot, so that a renewed mixing of the blood components is excluded. This not only reliably excludes contamination of the diagnostic sample with cell components when handled correctly, but also prevents degradation of glucose by blood cells.
Furthermore, the values of the diagnostic sample remain stable for up to one week when stored at 2-8 °C. This allows a subsequent determination of required values to be made if necessary. The tubes have a recommended clotting time of 30 minutes* and are provided with a convenient paper label. The scope of delivery includes 100 pieces of the serum tubes.
