QuikRead go® wrCRP+Hb Kit

The QuikRead go® wrCRP+Hb Kit is intended for use with the QuikRead go® testing device and enables rapid analysis of C-reactive protein and hemoglobin from just one drop of blood (whole blood). For the quantitative determination of CRP, unlike Hb determination, both whole blood and serum or plasma can be used. The unique feature of this kit is the extended (wide range) CRP measurement range from 0.5 to 200 mg/l. Especially in high-risk patients for recurrent coronary events, CRP levels between 1 mg/l and 3 mg/l can already indicate a moderate risk, and levels above 3 mg/l represent a high risk of further coronary events. Additionally, in other risk areas such as neonatal sepsis or rheumatoid arthritis, CRP measurement in the lower range between 0.5 to 5 mg/l is clinically relevant.

Test Procedure

The test can be quickly and easily performed with a small sample volume of 10 µl. Hold the cuvette from the sides and remove the foil cover. Drop the plunger into the capillary at the end with the coloured mark. Prick a clean finger with a lancet and wipe off the first drop of blood. Fill the capllary with the blood sample up to the white stopper. Place the capillary into the buffer and dispense by pushing down the plunger. The cuvette is sealed with a reagent stopper and inserted into the measurement well of the analyser. The results can be read on the device monitor after two minutes.
